It's still so odd to think that Jeff and Bob are the only surviving Wilburys.
@paul-rouffa, wow! I never thought about that but you're right!

hey Jack......as per WIKI,the drummer was Jim Keltner ......."played drums on both albums released by the 1980s supergroup the Traveling Wilburys, playing under the pseudonym "Buster Sidebury""
the person I miss seeing most is John Candy......he always gave so much of himself in his performances
@john-barry I loved the guy's performance in Planes, Trains and Automobiles opposite Steve Martin.
@john-barry Keltner is still alive at 78 and going strong.....good for him. I think it's kind of cool that he can be so well connected and respected in the music world yet he can, for the most part, travel about freely without being constantly approached. Most of The Doobie Brothers can get away with that too, come to think of it. Jeff Lynn of ELO has done a pretty good job of staying out of the "direct lights" too. That's the only way to go IMO....you still get to have a semblance of a normal life. That's pretty much why I gave up the clarinet in grade 7. 😊Â

me too !!!....I watch it generally once every year, around the holidays
@john-barry, that was quite a day. I remember Jack screaming at the band director as they dragged him out of the band room and the band director saying, "Well, at least those screams are easier on the ears than his clarinet playing." No one laughed, they all just nodded.

@jack-dodds, I can sympathize. The life of an international superstar sensation is not an easy one. The adoring fans, untold wealth, dignitary audiences, constant demands for endorsements, the expectation that you will exceed your most recent expression of genius with your next...they are all a burden that only the most resilient of us are equipped to handle gracefully and with humility.Â
