Texaco (The Texas Corporation) made gasoline for automobiles and was a sponsor for comedian Bob Hope (Bob for Texaco Hope) but they also provided aviation gasoline for airplanes, especially for some in the 1930's.
Here is a Williams Brothers Northrop Gamma airplane model I did some years ago in 1/72 scale that depicts a Northrop monoplane from the 1930's that was sponsored by Texaco.
Mike, those are great pics. I really like the night shot.
great modelling Mike, and the pics are sensational!
I love that plane. Your pics make it so much more dramatic! Excellent work!
Texaco was certainly a known name in both airplanes and automobiles, from at least the 1930's and onward. There were some exceptionally cool Texaco toy service stations and a few other toy items available, I believe, at Texaco stations or by mail.
Great photos. Since I also collect airplane models, I appreciate seeing these.

Airplanes and automobiles go hand in hand as premiere forms of modern transportation ! Many of my diecast cars and scale styrene model aircraft are still in storage since my stroke and recent move to an apartment a few blocks away. But I hope to get everything eventually back over here and set up a new photo studio area.
@michaeldetorrice My prayers are with you Mike in your recovery process. Also best wishes in getting your photo studio together. Love the pictures as always.
Thank you very much, Bob ! It means a lot to me.

Giant +1 Mike. Had no idea you had an episode. All the best and prayers for a full recovery. After two heart attacks (first in my 20's) I had a stroke in '89. Heart surgery cleared it up and it took lots of work. Do what your doctors say and God Bless You Sir!!
@perrone1 God bless you too Tony. The model car hobby would have never been the same without your input from your reviews to your comments here on the forums. You sir are truly a wordsmith when it comes to our hobby and the occasional adult beverage.
I wish you the very best in your continuing recovery Mike. Thank you for all that you contribute to this forum on a daily basis, it is much appreciated.
Thank you all so much ! I have been "fortunate" to have had C19 three times since 2022 and this was connected with my first illness.
But I am lucky to have such good friends (as here) and elsewhere and a great family. And three of my nieces are nurses ! You can't get any support group better than all that .....
