About Me
I'm a retired civil engineer, so I have always been interested infrastructure and traffic and of course, cars.
I have been building model cars since I was in grade school. I switched from 1/25 plastic kits to modifying 1/18 scale diecast about 30 years ago. I like to collect them and make them into my own visions, so I usually have multiple copies of diecast so that one can me saved as is, and one can be modified (or it might take 2 or more).
My other major interest is computer graphics (Corel) which was a BIG part of my job since the mid-90's and now my hobby. Besides using the computer to help plan my diecast mods, I also do some "car-tooning" for clients which they use for their man-caves, garages, Tshirts, & business logos.
The graphics provides some income for buying more diecast. Since I buy many to just cut up, I stay in the lower cost range of diecast (Maisto, Jada, Signature, Welly, etc.) and only treat myself to an occasional 1 copy expensive one rarely.
I enjoy seeing what others are doing when scratch building (Marlowe & Chris) and love seeing their skills. While they stay very close to realistic, I am slightly more twisted and "what-if" on my projects. Many of my customs began with "Muscle Machines" and became something stranger.... I hate to show them here because this website seems to be for car purists, but I enjoy seeing that side of the hobby too.
