Detailed Description
-
Exterior & Paint: Finished in a hand-polished, mirror-gloss black exterior paint, the model highlights the sharp body lines and panel seams characteristic of the 1963 Stingray. It features the famous, single-year-only split rear window, chrome metal-foiled badging and scripts, photo-etched metal windshield wipers, working functional headlights (flipping open and closed), and a working radio antenna.
-
Interior: The highly detailed interior is trimmed to match, complete with folding front bucket seats, textured carpeting, photo-etched metal seat belt buckles, crisp dash instrumentation and gauges with readable faces, and operational window cranks and door handles.
-
Engine Compartment: Under the opening hood lies a masterfully plumbed and wired replica of the V-8 engine. It features authentic fuel lines, carburetor linkage, battery cabling, fluid hoses, and accurate hood-scissor springs
-
First Production / Release: Released as part of Danbury Mint’s premier classic car replica lines in the early-to-mid 2000s (serving as Danbury’s inaugural 1:24 scale rendition of the landmark ’63 Split-Window Coupe).
-
Last Production / Discontinuation: Production concluded following the closure of Danbury Mint’s diecast division and the subsequent retirement of their tooling molds, rendering the model permanently discontinued on the secondary collector market
