First let me say I am glad I pulled the trigger after considering a few different options. Overall it's a nice model and the pictures will tell that part of the story. The last GMP Masterpiece model I purchased, a Ferrari in 1/18 scale was a very disappointing venture. I believe this repaint of the #2 car was just to take advantage of the Ford vs Ferrari movie. For the price of this model very obvious mistakes like no blue wiper arm and the worst, the Gurney bump, really? It's clear, this release was just about money, shame. The integrity of the men racing these cars is what made this such a great time in history and I for one would like to see more of it in model car manufacturing. Very little real effort on exhibit here...sad.

@randtheman...Yes this is a 1/12 GMP version of Ken Miles car from the 1966 Le Mans race. The wiper arm I can paint but the roof bump and rear wheels are beyond my skills. I guess I expected too much.

What a shame Josh. It looks magnificent but models in this price range should look authentic. What a shame about the Gurney bump.

This model was released several years ago the same way; perhaps retooling the door without holes would be a problem, not to add to your dismay but the number font is too narrow was well.

@david-c The numeral would be easy enough to fix but one has to wonder how anyone would get that wrong - then again I'm a huge fan of this car and did not notice the error until you pointed it out! Then again, if I had bought this car and brought it into the same room as my Exoto the difference would have been obvious and something that I would have to fix. Yet another example of people who actually know nothing about the models they are producing. Can you imagine the Chinese woman getting ready to add the tampo graphics to this car calling out "Wait a minute! This is the wrong font!"
