For those of us who were interested, a few years ago Danbury Mint was supposed to create the 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang convertible in Poppy Red with white interior. I was super excited about it as it would match my 1:1 classic that I purchased through the DuPont Registry out of Atlanta Georgia. Unfortunately, DM left the diecast market before it the Poppy Red convertible was made. They never sold them. However, a couple of years ago I acquired the prototype. Now I have it along with my Wimbledon White version. I view the DM Ford Mustangs as the best scale model of that car in any scale. It is extremely well done. Â

Wow! That's a keepsake. Do you still have the 1:1?

@jkuvakas - No, I sold it at a Rick Cole auction in 1993 or '94. Â

I agree with John, that's quite the find Marlowe. Now all you need is someone to "machine" you some 1/12 Ralleys!
@chris - Yeah, that would be nice. However, I'm betting that would cost a mint! However, I did commission 1:18 scale two-piece truck wheels 3D printed.
