Wow! Looks very much like a real one in the woods about 20 miles from where I live.
Glass and dash are better on the model. Sad but spectacular.

I know, right? You gotta look twice at some these pics. "....one in the woods about 20 miles from where I live...." That's wild David!
Has anyone seen the French Heller plastic kit of the earlier Traction Avant Citroen? Over 2000 parts in the kit I believe. You would have to have the parts manual and workshop manual for the real car to assemble this kit. Over the top complex and I think the Heller instruction sheet is in French! I'm guessing 1:12th scale.

@john-quilter - I used to have that model. It sat in my closet unbuilt for many years until I sold it on eBay a couple of years ago. I can confirm it is 1:8 scale but since I never opened the box, I don't know what language are the instructions.
John, Marty....

For real? 2,000+ 1/8 scale pieces? HOLY CAT-WALK Batman! That's a model!!
You woukd think it was 1:1 scale... until the last photo! WoW! 😎
An incredible model. I'd love to have one...I think. It would be fascinating. But, I agree with David, it's a bit sad in its realism.

BINGO John! ....and THAT'S exactly WHY it's half model...half ART. It's makes you think & wonder; it evokes emotion & feeling, etc.. Personally, I feel it's a masterpiece! Not the same caliber as the say, the Mona Lisa perhaps, but awfully close. LoL!
@chris, I'd have to agree with that. There was a LOT of talent that went into crafting this.

@jkuvakas .John, you said above that "I'd love to have one...I think". Here's your chance. One listed on the bay with opening bid of only $1023.67.It's a kit made by Altaya but this one is completely assembled. One of those where they send you a part each month. These's also multiple videos of this model on Youtube. The only thing is, you will need to get a bigger turntable to do "My Take".
Wow, this looks great. Loved seeing all the history. I have always liked these odd-looking cars. There used be on in my city, but the owner may have moved or sold it as I don't see it anymore.
