OK, well ... I have "a few" of these 1/18 1923 Ford Model T "Snap-On" period correct promo trucks. A great, nicely detailed replica but it always seemed that a "simple" (nothing is ever simple!) conversion to a period correct roadster was possible. Today I started. To get the general shape of the NEW rear area (which will include an opening trunk) I roughly copied my 1/18 Model T "wing Gasser."  From there I referenced photos.  I'm not finished yet; stay tuned...........

Beautiful conversion Chris. I have always liked the Snap-On promo models but never pulled the trigger. Some day.

THANKS ALL!!    Now......... let's hope I find some time soon to finish this small but "involved" project. Two-three more installments should do it.  I need to modify some oh-so-small hinges, make a lid (trunk) add "rolled-edge-piping" to my plastic. Fabricate a rear spare wheel mount. Shorten that flat rear deck. Relocate the spare, paint all rims black. Remove the door graphics, add a few wires, hoses......       Hmmm.... maybe 5-6 more installments. LOL 😀

Excellent post Chris, we really should have a section on repairs and modifications.

@chris Great work Chris and like both of you I think it would be a fantastic board, show repairs, custom work and some easy detail tricks. Hope it happens Smile
