Both before my time. No interest in either choice today or 1940.

Dodge because it's handsome.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

What good-looking automobiles and really classy convertibles. It would be hard to do better than either of these in 1940 !

So many plusses and minuses to compare on each. From a purely 'good looking' stand point, I'm going with the Dodge!!

I rather like both. After careful study, I cannot make up my mind. A tie this time. Thanks John.

I really like both cars but I have always loved the trim details Pontiacs from this era incorporated.

Wow these two are so cool!  I usually don’t go for 40s era cars. So few designs with the war. I voted a tie. The ornate grills were the first thing that caught my eye on both. The trim on the sides added style to both. I am even liking the wheel covers on the Pontiac.

@bob-jackman  Sorry Sir [must respect our elders], but I don't remember anything that happened before I was born. 🤔

Going with the Dodge for its uncluttered lines.

Gents, thanks for your replies.
