In 1934, Audi was the first automaker to mate a front wheel drive transaxle to a 6 cylinder engine. In 1935, two prototypes of the roadster. using a 50 HP 2.25 liter Wanderer 6 were built... and both disappeared. Audi sent the original chassis to the Zinke Company coachbuilders to replicate the Special Roadster body based solely on photographs. Audi built 225 Front sedans until 1938 but you can't get more rare than this non-existent roadster with the replica displayed at the Audi Museum where it's called "The Dream in White".
CMC produced this model in white with contrasting colored red or blue fenders. They later release an LE in white as the replica exists today I have no idea if these models reflect the original prototypes. I've not seen any pics of them from 1935.
....it's a super model, for some reason I always thought this was 1/24. 🙄 🙄
