1936 Panhard et Levassor Dynamic X76 [PIC]

This rather baroque aerodynamic design by Louis Bonnier included some very advanced features for its time including torsion bar suspension and hydraulic brakes. I kinda like the twin A pillars that surround curved glass panels. The headlamps are integrated to the body with grills that match the radiator's. The shield and wings design as a radiator mascot is repeated on the headlamp surrounds, the bumpers and the engine covers. The driver's position is just to the right of center (although France would transition the LHD in the coming years.
This is modeled after a '37 model done in Claret over Ivory. Love it or hate it, it certainly stands out in a crowd.
The model is a numbered LE of 1000.

The X76 represents thinking so far outside the box that BoS will probably have trouble.......

...getting the model in the box to ship it, LOL. Positively stunning, both the car and your photos.

Beautiful photos first. I bought one and am very pleased with it.

I love cars from the Deco period and this one certainly fits the bill. Most of my deco models are 1/43 but I do have some very nice pieces in 1/18 and the Panhard looks terrific with the collection.

Wow! I love it! What a standout this would be in a collection!

This model really demonstrates the upside of resin models.

In Europe you can buy it for $93. That is extremely good value I would have thought. BoS know their cars and make very interesting models - well done.

I totally agree. An image this arcane was perfect for resin.
