This must be a hand sample. Note the satin finish on the bright work. It's highly polished on the 1:1. There are some color issues too though that maybe the result of artificial lighting and camera settings. For $340.00, it should be correct and I'd bet the final model will be corrected.

Camera / Lighting

Val says the color is gorgeous, and she is disappointed that she is having trouble getting it to capture the color and the contrast. She is going to take more pics at different times of the day. Hopefully a member that receives one can offer their thoughts on how it looks.

(Pics) Draw the comparison between 1:1 and 1:18

Either way, it looks like an unappetizing ice cream.
It exemplifies everything that should be disregarded in good car design.

Note the difference in the chrome polish between the model...satin...and the 1:1.

There is something about mounting a three hundred and fourty dollar model an a cheap paper base, Minichamps should be able to do better than that given the huge profit they make on these pieces off plastic,
How about a polished wood or leather even vinyl base.

Remember the Buick Centurion? [PIC]

I'm wondering if it's painted rather than "chromed". It's the same thing with the Centurion where the trim is not a separate piece.
