I assume within 18 months or so ACME will release their 1/18 all-opening diecast 1956 Nomad (c.$135 ), their '55 Nomad should be available by Labor Day (c.$135 ). For those who can't wait, KK Scale has released a sealed diecast 1/18 '56 Nomad (c.$110 ) in 3 paint schemes & 2 wheel styles. The tooling looks pretty good, but the wheels look a bit large.
Although I no longer collect this scale of model I just may make an exception for these two Acme models as I love these cars so much.
Thanks Chris. Like Jack, I no longer collect 1/18 scale because of space limitations but I might have to make an exception.
It would be exceptional if this Chevrolet Nomad is released soon as this diecast model ! It looks really good and it is terrific to see this one finally come to market.
Right now, I have Maisto's 1/18 1955 Nomad in red/cream and Yat Ming's 1957 version in silver-grey.
@bob-jackman I would certainly expect ACME to also do the '57 Nomad to complete the tri-fIve series.

These KK Scale 1956 Nomads are available now.

I believe I read that ACME was indeed planning a "Triple Nickle" diecast release of 1/18 Nomads. I've seen pre-production 1955 pics (on ACME's site ) and the resin tooling for the '56, but no pics of their '57 (yet ).
