I just received my CMC Ferrari 250 GTO 1962/64 Christmas Edition 2023, the detail is very well done and this makes a superb display piece. I did not open the hood because it is latched with very small leather straps but there are other photos out there that show the engine detail. The detail on this piece is a pleasure to look at.

WOW 😲 what an awesome model! Thanks for the pics. Those wheels alone are works of art.

Now you got me laughing John.

I see you did take close-ups of those wheels and I was thinking wow John really is showing the detail here on those wire wheels and of course I noticed the valve stems! On a CMC model they've got to be there !

Breathtaking is appropriate here! How you managed to NOT give in and open the hood is beyond me????   Just use needle-point tweezers and unbuckle those straps once, then never buckle them again. 😀 😀

Can that spare be removed from the trunk?  I assume it can. A beautiful replica...Merry Christmas to you!

@100ford2003 Not owning this model I can only guess, but it appears to match the other 4.  For $2,000 +, it better, right? 🙄

@chris This is a new release you can get it for under $800 dollars until they are sold out and people start putting higher prices on them.

@chris I have seen other photos of the engine and with my tremors it is sometimes hard for me to deal with such a small item like these leather straps so knowing what the engine bay looks like satisfies my need to look at it. Maybe one day I will open the hood but right now I am not ready.

@david-green The display cases on the wall are from Carney Display, these are the six car display cases, I recommend the six car cases over the twelve car cases because the doors on the six car cases seal better. The twelve car cases you will need to put a piece of clear tape in the center of the up swinging door on each side so the door will seal better, if you don't then the door will bow out at the center allowing air to circulate along with dust. I have two of the twelve car wall mount display cases in the computer room and both are sealed with clear tape.

@100ford2003 The spare tire is not solid mounted in the truck so I would think you could work it out of the opening, but I won't be doing that.
