An Autoart must for any serious Mustang collector (like me ). No doubt Marlowe will chime in soon.... he owned a 1:1 just like it! 😎 😎 😎
AUTOart did an excellent job on this car, the door hinges are not dog legs like other versions of this car, I was just playing around with some exposure settings because this yellow is hard to photograph without it coming out to bright as some of the photos show. I played with the photo program in the Apple computer and I re-uploaded two of the photos.
Of course, I cannot resist chiming in on this model. I was thrilled when AUTOart released it. AUTOart fulfilled my desire to have another copy of a car I owned in 1:18 scale. Less than thrilled with the inaccuracies, which, for AUTOart, is quite rare given their meticulous attention to detail. I cannot remember all of the issues, but the most glaring is the front chrome bumper. It should have been color-keyed to the body. Also, in 1:1, the non-Mach Mustangs bumpers were different than the Mach. The bumper on the Mach was flush with the front fender. Not so with the non-Mach Mustangs. An Autoart must for any serious Mustang collector (like me ). No doubt Marlowe will chime in soon.... he owned a 1:1 just like it! 😎 😎 😎
Another issue was the hand cranks for the rear windows. On all non-powered window cars, the windows didn't open at all. The powered window cars were the only 1971 Mustangs that had rear windows that went down. Underneath, one would find the oil filter in the wrong location on the engine. Despite its flaws, I proudly display my model and am glad to have it.
