Well.... it's a Maisto, the trunk is sealed, and the eng. compartment is weak, but... It does look pretty cool. 😎 😎 😎
OK, so there's really NO trunk on GTDs; it's actually called a tech-panel (w/air scoops ) that houses trans coolers, mechanics, etc... I'm sure the eventual Autoart version, however, will have a removable tech-panel.
Still, not bad for a Maisto. 😏 😏 What do you think? 🤔 🤔
It looks superb in your photographs and Maisto clearly did a fine job on this 1/18 diecast ! It is certainly worth picking up for a collection, and if one is lucky, it may show up at a Sam's Club Christmas sale for a great price, too.
A GREAT looking model. Terrific photos Chris. But, man, the GTD looks like a single purpose racer than any Mustang I've seen prior. WOW!!
"The GTD looks like a single purpose racer than any Mustang I've seen prior."
That's because the GTD is a single-purpose racer; that's it only function - to win on the track! There's NO grocery-getting for this pony. 😶 😶

So, a Ford answer to the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170. Is there a passenger seat in that lil buggy?
Is there a passenger seat in that lil buggy?
...no, no....no. No rear seat (too much weight ). With 800hp and a top speed of 200mph, it's street legal, but its main goal is to destroy any competition on wheels.
Let me see if I grasp this. What you're sayin' is that this Mustang is not a car fashioned for me to do my grocery shopping in, or to pick up Gramma to take her to her knitting store or to use as a daily driver when I buy goldfish? Are you sure? How many cupholders in this bad boy?Is there a passenger seat in that lil buggy?

@perrone1 ....there are barf bags and a fire alarm. Does that help Grandma? 😆
The 1:1 doesn't have a rear seat. What's REALLY cool is Ford installed a transparent panel so the "art-work" rear suspension could be viewed from the interior! So COOL!!!"The GTD looks like a single purpose racer than any Mustang I've seen prior."

You can see the rear suspension articulate early in this Jay Leno video.
Yep, they showcase it early and again, late in the video. Jay looks like he's falling asleep at the wheel! HA! Awesome car - the engine makes it sound so much like a Shelby Cobra, for obvious reasons. Love it!
Mustang you say:
Ford was the first American manufacture to turn a lap at the Nurburgring under 7 minutes.
