This 260 Cobra is as close as it gets to its roots. The AC 2.0 liter 6 wasn't a bad performer in it rights with 0-60 in 7.7 seconds with a top speed of ~115 mph. The engine could be tuned to 130 HP. Although almost indistinguishable from the Ace roadster, it definitely had more kick to it. I like the way Shelby replace the "AC" nose badge with "Shelby Cobra".

My favourite AC and my favourite Shelby! Both were beautifully balanced.

Hmm.... I see many subtle differences between these two bodies; I never realized that before.    🤔 🤨 🤨 🤨

And so it began….and thrilled many and still does. Great pics Rich. I think I even see a valve stem 👍  This post brings a huge smile this dreary Friday AM. Thanks.

@100ford2003 Yeah. It's so well done especially for a 25 year old model.

@franklemire

That’s the one I also have plus one Daytona.
The color combo and detail on the Cobra is OUTSTANDING IMO.

The bare aluminum looks great; a friend of mine had one (along with several others ).    I still like my white-wall-version (with that undersized spare  🙄 🙄 🙄)
