Yes, this is a new 1/18 Bburago release - and the first one I've ever seen priced OVER $100 They are moving up-scale! 🤨 🤨
Gotta give Bburago credit. So many manufacturers have come and gone. Bburago is still here, turning out new models!Yes, this is a new 1/18 Bburago release - and the first one I've ever seen priced OPVER $100 They are moving up-scale! 🤨 🤨
BTW, the box says 1:10 scale. It's interesting to see them moving into large-scale models, too.
Good eye Marty! I check Live Model online. Their Bburago 1/18th F1 racers are $109. so I'm sure these 1/10ths go a bit higher. Still, not bad.
@perrone1 - $109 for a 1:18 model today is a darn good price! Also, I don't think Bburago is producing 1:10 scale models. I think they're just playing "artsy-fartsy" with the graphic "8" on the boxes.
That Bburago - what tricksters!!
Bburago's 1/18 scale used to be the most in need of content but always had good bones. Since they split Italy for Malaysia and kinda merged a bit with Maisto in Thailand, their quality has been evolving. Also, having got the license from Ferrari, they may have been forced to provide content to have the model approved. When Hot Wheels held the license, they had to work out a deal with Kyosho on some of their models to get to a proper level of sophistication. And these days, $100+ ain't a lot for a diecast model in any scale.
It's a nice looking model. Does it have any opening features or is it a static model? I really stay away from static models and quite frankly don't have any more space for new 1/18 models.
"Does it have any opening features?"
Yes, but just the doors. Here's the "clean" version - for c.$65
