"Nostalgia Super Stock" was organized in 1989 to bring back the iconic drag racers of the 1960s in head up match racing. Over the years the field expanded to include FX and AWBs as as non-factory builds into a single class "Legends of the Past". Here's some of the entrants:

I always wondered about that - these cars never quite looked true-vintage - NOW I get it.
Also, Sunstar didn't really tool up all those drag parts & pieces for their '63 Galaxie, did they? Weren't these 1/18 Fords re-worked then re-sold by ??? 🤔 🤔 If these weren't so valuable - they'd make great parts cars. 🤔 🤔 🤔

Very cool class of race cars; my fave is the '64 Fairlane Thunderbolt.

@chris Note the N/SS for New Super Stock... a melding of the old and the new. It's gotta be a gas to watch those match races.
