A Camaro With All The Trimmings.... [PIC]

A very rare 1968 Camaro RS/SS 396 with the 375 HP L78 solid lifter 396 V8. If it was an even more rare variant, the L89, it came with aluminum heads and was limited to only 272 units. The RS package offered the hidden headlamps and a more luxurious interior trim package. The exterior features a chin spoiler and functional hood vents. The RS/SS package alone was exceedingly rare but undocumented. The model, released by the now defunct Lane Automotive Exact Detail in 2004 offered really the first high content replica in 1/18 that captured all the body lines of this iconic Camaro. The only feature that marks its age is the dog leg hinges that , to Lane's credit, were designed to be relatively unobtrusive. I remember the model came with a numbered certificate, with an edition size of 1000 in this Grotto Blue finish. As far as power and performance, only Don Yenko could give you more.
