In 1967, Hurst Performance and Oldsmobile collaborated with a second "Hairy Olds" that was immediately destroyed in an exhibition race and the wreckage was completely dismantled at Hurst. For a dedicated street car, there was the '67 Olds 442 Hurst "Hustler" edition that featured the 360HP W-30 ram air 400 cid V8 that either was coupled to a Muncie 4 speed or the dual gate 3 speed automatic. The package included Hurst branded alloy wheels with redlines. Included in the H-61 replica is a pair of cheater slicks.
It's a beautiful car from Highway 61 in all respects ! I am delighted to have both a red and a blue version and I gave a blue version to one of my brothers. It is a classic from Oldsmobile and H61.
@chris Is that a '66? I don't see the faux louvers on the hood.
Is that a '66?
Highway 61 marketed it as a 1967, along with the other two I have - a convertible & sedan. Did they screw something up? (I'm not a 1966 -'67 Olds expert )
Those '66 & '67 Olds were always a favorite of mine. I think they had a perfect look, size and available options.
@chris The 66 did not have the louvers.
GM, IMO, had some of the BEST MOST HANDSOMELY designed cars for 66 and 67.
Toronado..'66. Didn't care for '67 front. The Eldorado, some Pontiacs and Buicks. The Corvette and of course, the Cutlass 442.
Steve
@chris Sorry. I didn't see the louvers in the pic you posted.
