Four of these amazing Bugatti Type 57SC (with the 'S' or "Surbaissé" or lowered; 'C' for 'Compressor' or supercharged) with the first built, AKA "La Voiture Noire" or "Black Car", still MIA since WWll and most sought after. Based on Jean Bugatti's "Aerolithe Electron" prototype, the aerodynamic look is interrupted by riveted dorsal spines connecting the halves of both the body and the pontoon fenders giving the car its unusual industrial look that today would be called "steampunk". The riveted spines were actually necessary to join the halves because of the special "electron-magnesium" alloy that resisted welding. Their supercharged 3.3 liter straight 8s produce about 210 HP giving these grand touring cars a 125 mph top speed. This dark blue variant with wire wheels was bodied on the second chassis, #57374, built in 1936 and listed as a 1938 model. The value of these 3 survivors is off the charts with one going for $47 million and another for $100 million. If the black car is ever found, it would be deemed "priceless".
Whomever did this replica did an astounding and detailed job on it. Really eye-catching blue color and the various parts are incredible. It looks like a small person could climb aboard this one and drive away !
The fidelity of this CMC is next-level good, very good! "Breathtaking" is probably the best adjective to use and that spare wheel gets me every time! Excellent post Rich. 😎 😎
...this A.I. crap is really starting to hurt my A.I.'s .....I guess it's fun for someone. 🤔 🙄 🤔 🙄

@chris That's not a Type 57 SC Atlantic. Production started on them in 1936. It's not the correct body shape but it does have the riveted dorsal fin. Perhaps an experiment with that magnesium alloy... but they welded it, so no. Part way through, it shows a different radiator badge that I can't identify. Unless they made this car a restomod, Bugatti didn't have an OHV V8 either.
@rich-sufficool The entire video is a mess. As I noted, it's all A.I., nothing's real.
What a DDG Automobile! I’ve no idea of how my body would react if ever I saw this Bugatti personally. The last time I got so excited to see a car was about 2decades ago at a show in Fullerton,CA. It was held at the Muckenthaler Event Center and it was a Jaguar XJ220.
Ahhh, the Jag XJ220! The first one I ever saw was at the old Jag dealer located on Sunset Blvd. in Beverly Hills. The second one was actually on the road in Costa Mesa. Quite impressive in the "flesh."What a DDG Automobile! I’ve no idea of how my body would react if ever I saw this Bugatti personally.
