Alan Wright...info on the 911 Turbos by Norev & AA.

I have the dark blue Norev Turbo 3.3L, though they recently came out with a lighter blue...neither of which is available from AutoArt.

the recently released blue (also a 3.3L):

The Norev model is nicely done with some good detailing, but the wheels/tires used are frankly horrific (a common Norev issue). I replaced mine with wheels/tires from Maisto's '89 911 Speedster & lowered the suspension...a drastic change.

My stock model:

I have no problem displaying the Norev with my more expensive/detailed models.

The AutoArt seems to be a fantastic model, but they've become scarce recently & either the ride height is off or the wheels/tires are a bit small (maybe a combo of the 2). Not that either would stop me from buying one...but the going prices on ebay would.

Thank you, Gavin, for that thorough assessment of AutoArt's and Norev's 911's!

... And thank you also for the great pictures!

Your Norev looks great with the modifications, but I have to admit that I'm not very much into modifying my diecast models (not sure my nerves would be able to take it).

Just out of curiosity, though, you wouldn't happen to know where I could get my hands on a set of Maisto Speedster wheels, would you???

Glad to help, Alan. As far as the Maisto Speedster...I don't have any extras, sorry. I had a red one for years & then found a MIB black one fairly cheap. Expected to use the wheels from the black one, but ended up liking it more & used the red's.

They're all over Ebay for under $20.
