Another modded Exoto Cobra - pix >
Since the subject is recent, here's my Bridgehampton Double 500, Sep 1963 Cobra. I attended the race and was inspired to do the model. Thanks to Bill Bennett creating the decals we (Bill, Frank, me, others?) were able to create unique and pretty accurate replicas of various races entered in 1963 by CSX2129. Frank did Kent (also Watkins Glen?), Bill did Road America and Continental Divide. On this one I replaced the rear mags with the new Halibrands's that the car wore at the end of the Road America 500 and part of the following Bridgehampton weekend.

I did do the Watkins Glen car - I had to check my label on the car....LOL
I've been meaning to ask - what paint did you use on the wheels?

I seem to remember that I mixed...
some Testor's Steel enamel with some flat black.

I probably started with Testor's Flat Grey (1163).

Nice work
I did the same conversion, but left off the sponsor decals so it looks like the Rob Ryder photo from qualifying. Didn't even know about the Halibrands. Wish someone would make diecast FIA Cobra roadsters.
