I got the brochure the other day. Looks good, and I don't have one. Ordered it.

OK .... F/M is out of biz ... D/M is out of biz ... How is this possible again??????
I'm soory for being so stupid ... but I'm really confused right now
Same ACME as Wile E. Coyote & Road Runner ???
Looks like the yellow one I got several years ago - I think it was a special D4C edition by Lane
Exact Detail. Maybe Acme acquired their molds.
Exactly. Wile E. melted down some old Acme anvils he had lying around & made them into 68 Firebirds.
Seriously, ACME is the old GMP rebranded. They are using Lane's molds to produce new issues (colors) and partnered with DM on this one. This is not the first time DM and ACME have teamed up.
BIGGER QUESTION : If DM can get ACME to do 1:18s for them...
...Why doesn't DM find someone like M2 or First Gear to do 1:24s for them????????????????
..be patient Billy, you just might get your wish. If there's money to be made...it will happen.
Chris, you hit the nail on the head! LOL! I'll be patient. LOL!
Not maybe. They did.
Yes, GMP now Acme, acquired the rights to use the Lane tooling. Quite some time ago, before GMP folded tent.
Yes, this is a version of the same Firebird D4C offered several years ago.
Lane offered the Firebirds in standard and vinyl tops and as convertibles. And in both '67 and '68 versions.
The '70 Chevelle that ACME offers is Lane tooling too.
