"Useless" in the sense that only 3 guys on the planet - OK, maybe 4 - care about this.
Like my 4 other 1/18's that had straight-axle front wheels in which I've since converted to "steerable front wheels," I have now converted #5. This 1/18 Greenlight 1977 Dodge Monaco LAPD cruiser shall bug me no more.
I HACKED in some steering parts from a junker 1958 Pontiac, a few hours later with a Dremel & flat black.... and "Done!" Projects go much faster when looks don't matter!
Well done! And it reminds me of the saying you recently quoted; "just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should." THIS is a situation where you could, you should and you DID!! Well DONE!
Nice work Chris. I'm guessing this project had you going around in circles.

Yes....now that you mention it - so MANY of my projects involve wheels. 🤔 🤨 🤔 🙄
@chris So many projects involving wheel upgrades Chris. It's nice to see you're keeping your toe-in with the hobby.......(sorry).
Chris,
I didn't see any close-up pics of the valve stems....🤣
@100ford2003 This is a Greenlight model Steve; if you want to see valve stems, you'll have to paint the word on the side of the car. 😀 😀 😀
