This beauty just arrived in the mail, I’ve read all the negative reviews on Anson ,poor quality, under scaled etc, etc,
sorry but I have to disagree, for those of us not willing to spend 2 or 3 hundred dollars on a single model this was a steal.
ok it doesn’t have a fully piped motor,or fancy photo etched script. Super fancy hinges on the doors, hood or trunk....
im still impressed ☺️
The most important part of anything you mention here, Larry, is that you like it and are satisfied with your purchase. THat's what collecting is all about!

When I look at a model I want to get the feel of the 1/1 and this model does that quite well IMO.
WOW! That model must have been floating around for quite a while. Anson went out of business at least a decade ago. I have some Ansons and while the build quality varies, they produced quite a few images-like this Y-Job, that you couldn't find anywhere else. I'm particularly fond of their Ferrari Dinos. I never bought their Y-Job although it looks great, only because I have it in another scale.
Sooo,it is available in another scale care to say which?
Sometimes it is the less interesting subjects that benefit from greater detail. The same is true of a lot in life.
@larry-kemling Oh Wow.... Do you remember the "Great American Dream Machines"? There was a whole line of 1/43 concept cars... the Lincoln Futura, Corvette Nomad, Chrysler Norseman, Caddy El Camino, etc.. I have to go look, but I think the Y-Job was the first in the series.
Excellent ! This was a fantastic release by Anson and I am glad to have this one. I think AutoWorld/RC/Ertl acquired some of the Anson tooling (like the really nice 1953 Coupe DeVille) and may have released this one later, too.
There is a Buick Y-Job from Great American Dream Machines in 1/43 scale available at Route 66 Model Car Store.
