AUTOart MB 600 Pullman

After spending a lot of time waiting and contemplating this car, I finally caved and bought one. I had been on a waiting list with several reputable well known diecast dealers for at least a year and a half. Melissa (I think) at Mint Models in Latham, New York told me that while she appreciated my order, based on their long relationship with AUTOart, doubted that the car would see another production run based on the number of cars that would need to be produced to justify another run. So last week I saw 2 on ebay. One, the guy wanted $1200 for which was just more that I could justify spending, the other was "bid and lets see where this goes." The car was no bargain but I am satisfied with what I paid (I never get into bidding wars, set a price that I am willing to pay and let it ride). Sorry for all of the diatribe, the car arrived Saturday and all I can say is that it is everything that everyone has ever said it is and I am thrilled to have it. There is no real moral to this story but if this is a car that you really want to have in your collection you might want to start looking around. With some nosing around I think you might find one in the 3-400 dollar range. I paid a little more for mine but that was because I was really tired of waiting and have been in awe of this car for years. My car us numbered 3001. I have no idea how many were originally produced. Good luck, I know there are a number of guys here that have expressed an interest in the Pullman. Happy Holidays to everyone.

Bruce, congratulations on your purchase!

I have the black LWB and silver SWB versions and they are two of my favorite by AUTOart. The build quality is excellent as are the details.

Yep and in 1:43rd scale AA's offering wasn't that bad too.
