In 1963, Jaguar set out to build 18 aluminum bodied "Special FT" Lightweight E Type coupes at their Browns Lane plant under the direction of Malcolm Sayer and Sir William Lyons. 18 chassis were planned but only 12 were built. 51 years later, Jaguar built the "Missing Six" at the same plant. Each of the 6 were presold for $1.7 million each. The model, by Paragon, is a fairly decent replica of the#15 Le Mans entry. There should be terminal bend to the horizontal on the exhaust pipes, but what infuriates me is the blue racing stripes end at the roof vent rather than continuing to the rear fascia. I was trying to research the vehicle not believing it could be an error of omission. Well, it is a blatant error. Then I found I could purchase a more accurate model, by Amalgam, for a mere $25,810.00 (or 4 interest free payments of $6452.50). I passed because it's 1/8 scale and wouldn't fit in my display case ( if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you).
Here's the Amalgam:

.....just color match that blue color and paint your own damn stripes; you'll save $25,728.00! 😏 😏
Great looking model. I'd like to get one of these at some point. AutoArt also released a lightweight, but is quite a bit more expensive.
Hmmm...interesting. How long is the bridge exactly?
