Hi All,
I'm curious if anyone else has acquired the 1978 Eldorado from Stamp and how thy feel about the proportions? To my eye, it looks way too imposing when compared to the 1974 Coupe Deville and the 1976 Fleetwood.
The Eldorado was 224 inches long, while the Fleetwood 233.7 inches long. To my eyes, either the Fleetwood is under scale, or the Eldorado is overscale.
Opinions?
Thanks!
Alfred
If scaled correct, the Eldorado should measure out to 12.44 inches. The Fleetwood should be 12.98 inches.
I appreciate the reply and the conversion. The Fleetwood measured to 12.99 inches and the Eldorado 12.4 inches. I guess they are to scale.
Thanks!
Alfred
The 1961 Coupe from KK is actually metal. Not a bad casting, too bad they issued it with black wall tires and an inaccurate two tone paint.
I didn't see the Minichamp Cadillac Cyclone and Lemans on your list, they are made of resin.
Cheers!

@alfredgee Alfred, you're 100% correct. KK Scale's '61 & their '67 are metal. I'm not sure how that got by me. 😬 😬 😬 You're the first person to point that out despite me posting these "resin" pics before.
Being diecast, that at least gives me the opportunity to make them "full function." Theoretically, I could cut out all the panels and hinge them. I've done mods like this before.... something to consider. 🤔 🤔 🤔
The lack of whitewalls is an easy fix, but as you noted, a few of their tu-tone paint combos are a bit "wacky."
I am aware of 1/18 Cadillac resin concepts but purposely omitted those. However, to be accurate, I should've at least noted them. I'm glad your Stamp Eldorado "scales out," I was confident it would.
Thanks for the heads up!

PS
These STAMP 1978 Cadillac Eldorados are magnificent. Dave's pic (from Toy Car Geek ) would fool most people. One must have a keen eye to detect that this is a 1/18 replica and not the real thing.
I actually had to check my 1961 KK after I saw your post as I thought that my recollection was mistaken. How would you "fix" the lack of whitewalls? It was suggested that I get a print shop to cut some white vinyl "rings", but curious what others have done.
Dave's pics are amazing, his skills as a photographer are a testament to Stamps model making abilities.
Cheers!
