Buick a name plate that was not known for performance cars but needed to have an entry, in 1970 Buick sold the 455 C.I. Grand Sport, in 1985 Buick's last true performance entry was the 231 C.I. Turbo Charged Grand National. The Grand National was produced through the 1987 model year and the Grand National GNX was the ultimate Grand National.
