The Cougar in Trans Am race trim sporting the High Performance 289. I remember when my CO in basic training got promoted to captain in June of 1968, his wife drove up in his brand new black XR-7 while we were in formation. It was a treat for me in what was 18 weeks of HELL!
The "Dan Gurney For President" bumper sticker was a cute touch on this pretty nice Sun Star variant.

The 67 XR7 is by far my favorite Cougar. I had a 68 which I loved but I prefer the 67 interior.
