I had this Tom Daniels 60 Custom Chevy Panel and decided to do an engine swap with a 32 Ford coupe that had a big ole' super charged engine. This was the first time I attempted any changes or customizing with this scale. The Chevy had a nice 396 dual 4bbl and I wanted something to display with John Milnor's 32 Ford coupe from American Graffiti, that would be of more competition. So, I began cutting and hacking...

I was able to get the big super charged engine back in the Chevy with not allot of cutting and hacking, but did have to cut a hole in the tilt nose.

Then I went to work on the 32 coupe. It required allot more cutting and hacking than I expected, but in the end it came out pretty well. It took about 3 times the amount of time I had figured though.

This is how the 32 Ford coupe came from the box.

Now good ole' John Milnor has some more serious street competition, and they both look great displayed together.

This was my first and "LAST" customizing work on these 1/18ths for a good while. The razor knife I was using slipped and seriously cut my thumb. I lost enough blood from this cut that I was feeling dizzy in the ER. It cut clear into the bone and required 6 painful stitches. It took about 6-8 weeks to heal, more towards the 8 week mark and throbbed the whole time. It took over a year to get the feeling back in my thumb. Everytime I look at these cars displayed together, my thumb begins to twitch a little...LOL, So be extremely careful with those razor knifes guys...LOL Shut Mouth I Dont Know

Wow!  That looks painful.  I learned my cutting lessons and got my model baptism when I was a kid. Since then, I religiously practiced good knife management.  You'll not make that mistake again.

The mods that you did look quite nice.  Good job!
