This 1967 Shelby GT350 is my favorite Mustang with those quirky inboard high beams. Lane really impressed me with this model way back when for all the little details not generally seen including fuel and brake line not just molded in to the undercarriage. I have a couple of these but this Guardsman Blue is just perfect.

This Guardsmen Blue '67 is my favorite Shelby Mustang in my collection.  Absolutely love the color & its a model I'll never sell.  @rich-sufficool I love those inboard lights as well & I love that Ford put them on their S197 Mustangs....its one of my favorite design features on my '07 GT.

@rich-sufficool it absolutely is.  300hp 4.6L V8...sounded like a decent amount in 2005, but is pretty basic now.  Still, it sounds excellent & is quick enough for me.

@gavin That's the DOHC 4.6, yes? I had that in my Lincoln and loved its performance and sound.

@rich-sufficool its actually the SOHC version, an upgraded version of what was in the previous gen Mustang, though fitted with 24 valves instead of 16.  The DOHC was reserved for the prior gen Cobra.

Nice lineup of Mustangs, @chris!  Particularly like the red LX 5.0 Hatchback....missed out on that one.  Hope they release more in different colors, though I dig the red.

The 67 Shelby GT500 is my favorite Mustang and Brittany Blue is my fave of the many excellent color choices offered that year.  I agree with you that Guardsman Blue is a gorgeous color as well.

Thanks Gavin. Funny you mention "red."   I PURPOSELY go out of my way to seek out others colors; I don't want a collection of all red, black, white and blue cars. That particular 5.0 was difficult to find... I grabbed the FIRST one I could get. 😉

If you're referring to my red one...(???)     That's an Autoart 1968 fastback and may I add...  It's an AWESOME model!

No Chris,

Didn't the DOT have an issue with those lights being so close together in the front grill ?

Maybe I'm thinking of something else...

happens alot in my 'current presidential fog'...lol.

It might have been with the Shelby lights on the sail panels of the fastbacks.

Steve
