For you Euro guys...... one off for a customer..
So its still in progress but when completed it will be a 1956 Austin Healey BN2-100M. This is the rare shorter version based on the AH 3000 body. So you see what it started as and now its been shortened 6 scale inches in the rear quarters, including the deck lid, chassis and trunk bucket. Then the hood scoop was cut and straightened then blended in to be a flat hood and lastly the front grill area was changed from an oval to a triangle. Needless to say there is a lot more to do but... so far its turning out as needed. Thanks for looking.

Now, wait a minute. I'm an American 'guy'. I'm not a big fan of the 'bug-eye' Sprite; but, the...
...'other' Austin Healeys of this era were VERY COOL.
LOL!
Interesting . . . . very cool! But where is the ribbed roof? LOL!!!!
Excellent mods so far John. Keep up the good work!
My goodness! That's an extremely challenging project! Looking good so far!
BN2 production only lasted for 1 year and 4600 cars were made in that single year 3.5% were 'home market' cars and most of the other 96.5% headed for the US - so much for 'Euro guys' - whatever they may be. According to Brexit, we're British again and surely it's America that's got the true interest in this car?
Looking forward to seeing the bonnet vents, the tilting wind screen and the bigger carbs and cold air box.
Great work so far
Paul, he opted to pass on the engine mods. The hood vents....
are getting installed next week and the tilting windscreen (wont tilt) will be done a little later along. FYI, thanks for all the comments guys. More to come.....but it will be a while.
I was born, raised and live in the United States and have owned both a 1956 BN2 and a 100M.
I owned both of these cars when they were three years old. Sad to say I sold both while I was in the Navy when I lost my storage. I have owned over 100 old cars in my life and the only regret I have in selling my cars was these two.
I had two 1956 A.H. Le Mans........I can still smell the English leather
Fabulous work John
