Fronti-Art and Spark Porsche GT3s. (PICS)
The other day I mentioned that I had ordered two resin Porsche 911 GT3's from two companies I haven't bought from before. I will give you guys my impressions but please forgive my pictures as I used my iPhone to get this done!
Fronti-Art is making and selling their GT3 in a "semi-street" version in Black and in Gray versions. The packaging is utilitarian and not in a class with BBR or MR. The base is a plastic material that looks like carbon fiber and looks very good. These models sell in the mid $300 range.
The Spark version comes in wild racing motifs which maybe makes them more eye-catching. I am impressed with the ride height and miner details, antennae and such. The wheels are large; look very real and fill up the wheel openings. Packaging is mostly foam and light cardboard--not very impressive and not nearly as good as some earlier Spark offerings. The scale appears to be right on (which can't be said of the 1974 models which looked closer to 1:20 than 1:18.) pricing is at the $200 mark.
I think that these models fit nicely with my Exoto, CMC, BBR and MR models.
