Help needed. I have acquired a project, an FM 1899 Packard that was dropped hard enough for me to be able to afford it. Here it is-

The most apparent problem is the lack of information, for NO brochure, pamphlet, etc. was included, only a little hang tag that says in 3 languages that this Franklin Mint piece is 1/16 and was made in China.

I am a model builder from way back, but I also like to have a box picture to work on a jigsaw puzzle. Any suggestions?

Auh David, you have bigger problems...........

I could post pics of what this beautiful 1/16 replica should look like but unfortunately most of the pieces on your model fell off because of "diecast-cancer."

This Franklin Mint model, as gorgeous as it may be, is NOTORIOUS for being a great example of "bad metal."

I've seen many that look just like yours. Sadly, you will NEVER be able to fix this; the metal will quite literally crumble & crack right before your eyes.

I've been there; I know.

What you now have is a "parts car." Sorry.

If you don't want these parts (wheels, trim, etc...) You may be able to sell "everything" for a few bucks on eBay.

No problem David; it's a rotten shame.

My suggestion: Dust pan & brush.

...never throw scale parts away Andy. Auh, rule 8.5, section 2 of the modeler's handbook.

LOL

Oh dear, it looks like someone tore that page out of my handbook.

I'll have to buy a new one.;)
