This Altaya 1/43 1954 GMC COE vintage car hauler is simply too cool AND VERY correct. I thought perhaps if any of you 1/18 guys are unaware of it, then allow me to introduce you to this very nice replica. This truck WAS POSTED on the "correct" 1/43 Forum last month. I have a fondness for VINTAGE CAR HAULERS, as some of you know, and this was love at first sight; I HAD TO HAVE ONE.
I took some VERY QUICK pics and "posed" a Ford just for reference. I think I'll buy four 1/43 Greenlight 1955 Cadillac Fleetwoods then load'em up!
From the accurate paint, graphics, colors and stance right down to the rims & tires.... I really see nothing that's poorly reproduced. It looks good from any angle. Those 4 silver ramps are plastic but lift out easily to accommodate a "car load." Other than the trim (& ramps), everything else is diecast.
Anyway, sorry for the "intrusion" but I had to ensure you guys were made aware.... now you know about this beauty. Have a great day! 😀Â
Yes, I've always admired what is available in 1:43. The accuracy and fidelity to scale is just astounding. Also, the enormous range of models that are available is just wallet-emptying jaw dropping! These haulers are very cool!  Â
@marlowe-or-marty That's just his summer cottage. He keeps his project COEs in his underground garage at his winter home, formerly known as the "Stately Wayne Manor".
@rich-sufficool Well Rich, if "Stately Wayne Manor" is code for "basement" then yes, you nailed it! I have dozens of projects (including that 1/18 COE) at SWM. 😎Â
BTW, isn't there an unfinished COE stashed away in the Moroni Estate? Â
Marty, I've warned you repeatedly.... "No cocktails BEFORE lunch!"  (BTW, I like how you used YOUR HOUSE as my Estate.......I'm amazed you can operate your drone so well despite all the cocktails!) 😉Â
I would like to finish that hauler project one day..... that would be (wait for it)...   a happy hour! 🤨Â
