Without a doubt the best model from Sun Star.

Now it just needs some judicious brown and black dry-brushing to replicate the wood trimmed “cockpit”. 

@bob-jackman ....oooooooooh, I'll fight you on that one.   Sun Star makes many (not all ) 1/18 Platinum Series cars that are pretty darn nice, and a few "regular series"  that are pretty close to that level.  

I'd say this black '39 Horch is a darn good "regular series"  model, but the best Sun Star?    🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 

Chris, now you’ve got me wondering. What models by SunStar in your opinion are some of their best ? I personally like the ‘56 Mercurys and ‘58 Buicks.

@100ford2003   Their 1956 Mercurys are great except for the painted rim color on the tire.  😖 😖   IMO, their '58 Buicks, '59 Olds, 59 Mercury, '52 Nash, and 1960 Plymouths are among their best.   Everything else is really good; the two worst are their '58 Lincoln & '59 Dodge.

@100ford2003   Being a 1950's kind of guy,  I was grabbing these up (all the SS Premiums ) as they were being released - way back when.    As stated, the '59 Merc. & '60 Ply. are gorgeous replicas - not perfect - but very nice.    👍 👍

I’d swear on a stack of Bibles that your pics are of a 1:1.  You’ve a knack for photographing those models at just the perfect angles to make them look like a 1:1 !!

I continue to practice the ancient tried & true method  of "multiple takes."    That is, if I want one GOOD pic, I must take 15.       I will say this though......   on a FB 1/18 diecast site, the administrators selected one of crappy pics  as their cover page photo.

Yes, yes, it will eventually get rotated out..... but kind of cool  nonetheless, right?     😎 😎       Thanks again for the compliments.
