For me, most Detroit iron in the '80s were eminently forgettable. Buick had their similar looking turbo 6 Grand Nationals to Chevy's notch back Monte Carlo SS. Its 305 cid V8 was good for 180 hp with 0-60 in a bit over 8 seconds. It was a slightly down-sized personal sporty car with its fairly plush interior and T-Top. With mostly bland and under-powered competition, it was a looker but just couldn't deliver performance to match those looks.

Nicely detailed model.  I had this one in silver & was pretty impressed with it.  My father-in-law had an '87 Monte Carlo LS with the 4.3L V6.  Not a very impressive car, even for the time period, but he loved it.
