....for all those that have longed for a 1/18 1977 AMC Pacer coupe.   LS Collectibles has released this 1/18 resin example in at least two colors.  The wheels are not steerable and of course nothing opens.  MSRP seems to range from $220.00 - $250.00, not including S/H

Pace 1
Pace 2
Pace 3
Pace 4

Nice one ! A younger sister of mine had a pre-owned light green AMC Pacer back in the day.

Stout price for a static model but, wow Chris - great detailing and fidelity to the real car!

They made a huge mistake on this car, the right door should be longer for entry into the back seat. That was just one of the quirks of the AMC Pacer.

Chris, are you going to break your "no-resin rule" like I did and buy a resin car?

It has been rumored that the Porsche 928 got its design cues from the Pacer.

The short answer is, "No."

Although I'm pleased to see a 1/18 available of this controversial but innovative vehicle (there were even EV Pacers @ $15K manufactured in the 1970's ) I have no desire to own a "sealed model"  in this scale.    Furthermore, I question LS's choice of wheels - Why didn't they replicate one of the many AMC wheel options instead of these "truck wheels?"      🤔 🤔 🤔

PS

The closest I've come to purchasing any 1/18 sealed resin was when I was drooling  over Stamp's '62 SDV.  Despite the obvious back seat goof - it's gorgeous model!

For Marty 1
For Marty 2

@jack-dodds Me too Jack. I think I will just stick with 1/43 as my scale for the Pacers. I just picked up the 1/18 scale Sunbeam Tiger from Automodello and it's great but I have no place to put it.

@bob-jackman I love the Sunbeam Tiger!  I recently sold my Spark 1/43 version a couple of months ago and already  regret it big time. Tears
