The Willys gassers were perhaps the most iconic of that era, but I thought the Fiat Tupolino bodied drag cars were the cutest. Tupolino means 'little mouse', but, ironically it's what the Italians call Mickey Mouse rather than the Superman powered Mighty Mouse. Here's one of Acme's Tupolino gassers (well, actually A/Altered).

Just a great & cool looking model that I had to have (in a different livery ) but really don't know much about. What a wild ride! 😎 😎

BTW, there is a huge performance differential between a gasser and an AA/fuel altered.  The gassers ran in the 9's at 150 MPH.  The AA/Fuel altereds ran in the 7's at 190 MPH.  They were essentially short-wheelbase top fuel dragsters!  Vroom!!!
