This Flyer puts me back in high school in 1969, and this ROAD RUNNER had my eyes popping out of their sockets.  My buddy Dennis told me that we should buy one together.  It was true what the ad for the car said, "A Powerhouse on the Open Road", it was.  And LOL, I think it really did go "BEEP BEEP".  Smile

50th Anniversary 1969 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER!

A model that was really MUSCLE!

Hi George,

A '69 RoadRunner in blue was my drivers ed car in high school.

Not sure (way too long ago) to know what motor was there..lol.

Probably a 318.

After further research, it must have been the 383 as the 318 was not available. Hmm...

How cool that must have been!  When I took my Drivers Training through school in 1967, the car was an Oldsmobile Toronado.  My Dad was so jealous that I was driving it.
