Excellent photo and a well made model - Ertl at its best I was never was that fond of the actual car but for those who are you can't go wrong with this model.

IMHO, that year MC is one of the ugliest ever designed. What were they smoking ? And the same for the GP. But then agsin I never paid much attention to GM designs after the mid to late sixties.

Great looking model; I had a 1:1 ‘87 Aerocoupe for several years.
The postmaster at the station I worked at had one of those so I admired her.

Great set of photos of your Monte. I have the ERTL black version and the white version. I used to have a Welly 1987 but can't locate it.

I'm still puzzled why Autoworld and/or ACME - who ever owns the tooling - hasn't re-issued these KNOWING MOST Authentics releases have crumbled away as a result of diecast cancer. Most of the Ertl versions seem to have survived but they're NOT as detailed as the Authntics.
It seems to me that NEW - noncontaminated '85 Monte Carlo models - would sell like hotcakes! 🙄 😯 🙄

The black MC model looks better to me…especially in a dark room with ALL the lights turned off 😂
