Lane Exact Detail 1:18
I am new to collecting and would appreciate any feedback you may have about Lane Exact Detail cars. Thank you
In my opinion, the '67-'68 Firebirds are excellent.
The Mustangs are very detailed but for some reason the front valance panels (under the bumpers) on the '66 Stangs hang down too low. They could be fixed with a Dremel drill, fine sandpaper and some brush painting. The '65 Malibu's and Cutlass 442's look nice but those cars are not what I collect. Good luck and welcome to our addiction.
Forgot to mention - I have a Lane '68 Shelby GT-500KR and it is excellent. I got the Lime Gold version which is the color of my first car, a '67 Mustangs.
Lane Exact detail models
Unfortunately lane was taken over by ACME. I am a Mustang and Shelby fan so I got these models at the write time .
You can still fine them on EBay but be careful to make sure the seller sends you authentication and pictures plus the box and certificate. Auto Art has some 1/18 the Shelby's with the windows up in stead of down they are in respect form the same molds but with a touch better quality added at a reasonable price.

Marc, I agree with Robert. I have the exact same mustang he has, along with several other Lanes.
They are very well done and I especially like the engine detail. Their Mustangs include a tool box in the trunk, along with Carroll Shelby's famous black hat. You should be able to find them on several auction sites at a reasonable price. Good hunting.
Thank you for the info
Mark, since I don't believe Legacy has them, try Go Motor Bids (auction site). They have had Lanes on auction from time to time.
Good idea..........I think you will find that the Lane models have been popular with collectors - good fit, finish and detailing. They haven't been made in a while so they might not be up current models as far a photo etched tags and the new super clear 'glass' and lights that you'll find on AUTOart cars but if Lane makes what you are looking for you likely will not be disappointed.
Overall, very nice. 7-8 range on a scale from 1-10. I have "more than one" and really like them.
I did go there, thank you
They do have them as do many other retailers.
