Looking for accurate and size appropriate dog figures in 1/18 scale.
Does anyone have a preferred supplier? I just received a Mercury station wagon and it cries out to have a load of two or three dogs in the back, just like the Matchbox Mercury Commuter wagon always had dogs. I have looked around and found primarily war game figures to go with supposedly 1/18 scale GI Joe figures. I'd rather know of a figure that will for sure work rather than venturing so far outside my realm of knowledge. Thanks for any suggestions.
David, many Pet stores & big box stores sell "plastic animals." I have about 6-8 1/18 dogs that....
..I've acquired in this way. Knowing that the average 6' man in 1/18 scale is about 4" tall... pick out dogs that "fit in" to this reality. Of course, use good judgment... a Silky Terrier, for example, would be quite small...therefore...about a 1/2" tall when compared to the 4" man.
Many Christmas ornaments can also provide a good source of "1/18 dogs."
(PICS) Some of my 1/18 dogs.........
