Looking forward to the next CMC transporter release...
If it is anything like the 1950s Renntransporter or Fiat transporters released previously, the new CMC Mercedes-Benz Racing Car Transporter LO 2750 should be an excellent addition to the 1930s era Silver Arrows available from CMC.
Anyone else looking to order one of these? Will you have a Silver Arrow in the cargo bay?
It will be interesting to see if CMC produces the different numbered transporters or only the current MB Museum version. My guess is on the latter, but it would be neat (although very expensive) to have the fleet displayed as I've seen in some historic photos.
As we await the arrival of the new transporter, here is a shot of the 1954 Renntransporter with the W196R streamliner. I remember back in 2002 when this was originally released, in the relatively primitive days of online retail hobby shops and diecast forums, searching everywhere online for this model from a still not as widely known (at least to me) model company CMC. When I first saw images of this transporter online, it blew me away that someone could make a model like this, and even more blown away that it was in 1/18 scale....Something I had never seen before. A big change from the other models I had previously known.
I just unpacked these two for display and it was like seeing them again for the first time after being in storage for over a year! The quality and details on these models simply amazes me every time I see them.

I definitely can be counted on for purchase of ANY transporter by CMC. After the Fiat...
... which in my opinion is one of the finest models ever I can't help but be excited about the prospect of a new version from CMC.
