Built between 1957 and 1959 the series 2 replaced its 1956 Le Mans 1100cc class winner with a 7th place over all with 1460 cc DOHC Coventry Climax 4 that produced 140 HP which was plenty with the car only weighing 950 lbs, giving it a top speed of 140 mph. The series 2 cars dominated the 1.5 liter class for a few years and raced into the early 1960s as well as vintage racing over the decades. This particular Colin Chapman design, a single seat with a bubble top was driven by Sterling Moss achieving 142 mph at the Monza track. Here's the 1956 Le Mans team with the series 1:
