MARTISAN 1/18 Hand Crafted Models

It is a beauty,  that is for sure.

Oh my. You said it precisely - When only the very best will do. CMC and Exoto exceeded most quality 1/18ths but there are some, if you can afford it, that can go beyond that quality. IF, you can afford it.

@perrone1 my only issue is that I am not a Ferrari fan lol.

I have Kyosho's 250. That makes mine look like a Tootsie toy.

I will stick with my Kyosho. This one is impressive but….

But when I went to their website I did not see any prices. Surely the $4,000+ The price in the eBay listing is not correct for an MSRP?

Please keep in mind, that every hand-crafted model is different; customers choose the detail level they wish to have expressed, then pay accordingly.

For this particular eBay replica, $4,215.00 + S/H is the price.    

Don't know if Ferrari actually painted one that color - no matter, I'm not paying that for a car without racing livery...LOL

@franklemire  Frank, there's no doubt whatsoever that any racing livery you desire can be applied to any replica they hand-craft for you; it's a simple matter of working out the details.     🤓 🧐 🤓

@chris Well, I'll try to explain. Having never heard of the Martisan company until I saw your post, initially I failed to realize that they were actually made-to-order, handcrafted models.  So thank you for your post--you have educated me.

But to answer your question, since I'm familiar with CMC's prices, and I own two of their models, which I understand are also "hand-crafted," I don't think of "hand-crafted" models as costing in excess of $4,000.  I mean, even CMC's Ferrari Racing Transporter, Type Fiat 642 RN2 Bartoletti, 1957 is only $1,065. (And I see that model is currently "Sold Out!," btw.  Does anyone know if this happens periodically, or if CMC is actually done offering the transporter in 1:18?)

So now I'm the one that doesn't understand:  is the model you pictured at the top of this thread the exact same (physical) model as the one in the eBay listing, that is being sold as "...listed for free on behalf of my friends..."?

I guess what I'm asking is, are YOU the "AZI Depot" seller in this ebay listing--or somehow associated with this seller?  Just curious.  Here's the listing:

I'm also curious to know the potential price ranges of Martisan's 1:18 models.  IOW, how high can the price actually go?

Oh--and if you are the ebay seller, shouldn't this post be in this website's "For Sale" forum?  It would seem like it would get more visibility from potential buyers there....

And I'm confused about something else:  what, exactly, do these words you put up in your screenshot mean?  Specifically, what does this mean:

"This particular piece was factory tested and inspected at a trade show, then immediately re boxed - guaranteeing pristine condition and untouched collector quality...."

I'd also like to know the MSRP on the current model in the above ebay listing, if it were being sold directly from Martisan, as I would have thought that a model that's been unpacked and displayed (as this model in your post was, when you photographed it) would cost less than one purchased directly from Martisan.  Wouldn't you?

@art-deco   There's much to unpack here, hopefully I won't miss anything:

- CMC replicas are NOT hand-crafted, that is - yes, "humans"  assemble most of the components & pieces, but CMC replicas, like Exotos, are "mass produced"  models; there are no "one-offs"  or "custom builds,"  regardless of the limited run.

- Each Martisan, however, is made to order by a select few; nothing is mass produced.   There is no "assembly line"  so to speak, therefore, virtually any custom request can be accommodated.   Obviously, this is a labor-intensive process which manifests into greater scale realism but increased costs. 

- The model pictured in my post is NOT the same as the eBay  model up for sale.

- I am NOT the eBay  seller, nor do I have "a dog in this fight."      I have NO connection with Martisan models in ANY way.  Although I own a handful of 1/18 CMC and Exoto replicas, I do NOT own a 1/18 Martisan model.

- Thus, any specific concerns/questions regarding this particular Martisan auction should be messaged  to the seller. 

- I suspect that this "eBay Martisan Ferrari"  does indeed cost LESS than if one were in buy direct from Martisan. 

- Lastly, with regard to "MSRP,"  well, that's analogous to the "MSRP of a Rolls Royce."     Each is essentially made to order; pricing can only truly be determined once all considered desires, requests, and conditions are met.   IMO, I'd say that ANY 1/18 Martisan replica acquisition made for less than $3,200 would be deemed a bargain.
