It looks super nice for $76. That seems to under cut the BoS models. It is made of plastic and metal according to the website. Cheaper than resin - wonder what it really would be like.

I went to the American-Excellence website but couldn't find it.

Any suggestions where to look?

Mark, IMHO MCG paint quality is inferior to BoS

If you have never seen an MCG model, think of a sealed Maisto.
The photos above are from modelissimo.de and they usually look better than the model.

side window trim

Just cannot get past the flat non-dimensional look of the side window frames and trim. This is typical if this manufacturer and all the BOS 1:18th models.

Ah, that makes sense then. The BoS models I have in 1/18 have AMAZING paint.

Mark, probably like the Ford Country Squire wagons. Same thing, metal.

with some plastic filler pieces and trim. Making it a non working (hood, doors, trunk) model saves a ton of money. I did a comparison on another web forum about the total amount of parts on the resin model and a diecast model, just counting just the complete body. Forgot the two models but in the end the diecast version has almost 3 times as many. Like as in 15 for the resin and 45 for the diecast.

So this is by far the cheapest way to create a replica, sealed, metal and plastic. I love my Country Squires..... for the price but would pay more and love them more if everything opened.
